The largest part of Baildon Town Council's income is raised through the precept. This is an amount requested by the town council from Bradford District Council which the district council raises each year through a local tax. This income is spent on a range of projects which contribute to delivering the Baildon Plan. The Farmers Market and the allotments are self-financing.
