New Nature Trail - along the River Aire next to Roberts Park, behind Glenwood Avenue, lower Baildon.
I would like to make you aware of a project which is now well underway on land adjacent to the River Aire and rear of Glenwood Avenue, lower Baildon. The project follows a successful application for pocket parks funding which was led by the Higher Coach Road Residents Group with further funding support from the Baildon Town Council.
The project will include improvements to existing footpaths, including new steps to form a nature trail along an already popular route which takes in wonderful views of the River Aire. The project will also include wildflower meadow planting and information signs to highlight local wildlife and fauna. This is a great project and will benefit not just the community but the many visitors to the area.
The project also offers opportunities for volunteers groups and residents to be involved in wildflower seed sowing and plug planting that will be organised as planting season approaches in Spring time.
Best Regards
