BAILDON TOWN COUNCIL RECEIVES AWARD IN NATIONAL SCHEME

Baildon Town Council has been awarded the Foundation level award as part of the Local Council Award Scheme. This achievement recognises that Baildon Town Council achieves good practice in governance, community engagement and council improvement. Baildon Town Council's Chairman Cllr John Turner said; "it is very heartening indeed that we have received this Award as it recognises all the hard work that councillors and staff put into delivering a range of services for the residents of Baildon".

Local town and parish councils are doing as much as they can to deliver services whilst being efficient and cost-effective. Baildon Town Council provides a range of services from public toilets, grit bins, public seating, footpath clearance, e-newsletter, 3 community-based defibrillators, Christmas lights switch on event, Bracken Hall Countryside Centre, Visit Baildon website, financial assistance to local groups and organisations eg; the youth clubs at Community Link, community activities at Wesleys, St James and St Hughs, Baildon in Bloom, Shipley Glen Tramway, Neighbourhood Watch and Harley Davidson Rally to name just a few!
