Message from our Community First Responder Group
As the nights draw in, the Baildon Community First Responder Group want to remind all residents to check if their house/business name or number is visible day or night, especially when the emergency services or doctors out of hours service might be called.
While the postman might know where you are through experience, can your location be found in the dark? Every second counts and it might be one of those jobs you have been meaning to do for a while, so please make sure you are visible from the main road. Our community first responder might not have knowledge of your home and not know where all the houses and businesses are here in Baildon so clear unobstructed signs are essential.
In the event of an emergency always dial 999 and stay calm. Keep lights on and all the curtains open to give a clear sign for the emergency services. Your car on the drive or out outside your location with hazard warning lights can also help to single out your address in the dark.
